Fair Usage Policy

To keep Eggs N’ Toast campaigns fair, compliant, and reliable, all SMS and email services are subject to this Fair Usage Policy (FUP).

“Unlimited” means there are no per-contact caps on sending. However, every plan includes defined monthly allowancesfor SMS and email. These allowances vary by plan tier and, for SMS, by country. Unused allowances expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure compliance with carrier regulations, protect deliverability, and maintain service quality for all customers.

1. How It Works

  • Each plan (Sunny Side, Over Easy, Full Breakfast, Brunch Buffet) includes a defined number of campaigns per month.

  • Each plan also includes a monthly volume allowance of SMS and email.

  • SMS: Allowances are per country, per subscription, per month. One plan cannot be shared across multiple countries. To run SMS campaigns in more than one country, a separate plan is required for each.

  • Email: Allowances are global per account, with no country-by-country separation.

2. SMS Fair Usage & Overage

  • All SMS thresholds are published in the SMS Usage by Country chart.

  • Beyond included thresholds, SMS is billed per message segment at the overage rate listed for that country (e.g., $0.02/SMS in the U.S. and Canada; international rates vary).

  • 1 SMS segment = one message of up to 160 GSM-7 characters (inbound or outbound). Messages exceeding 160 characters, or containing special characters, may be split into multiple segments by carriers.

  • Inbound SMS is generally billed the same as outbound, except in countries where inbound is unlimited (see chart for details, e.g., Brazil, Puerto Rico).

3. Email Fair Usage & Overage

  • Email thresholds are published in the Email Usage chart (or in the combined Messaging Suite chart).

  • Beyond included thresholds, email is billed globally at $0.001 per additional email.

  • All plans include authentication safeguards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to ensure deliverability.

  • All email usage must comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, and other applicable laws.

4. Compliance & Abuse Prevention

To protect service integrity, the following are strictly prohibited:

  • Sending spam or unsolicited campaigns.

  • Using purchased, rented, or third-party contact lists.

  • Sharing or reselling contacts or leads.

  • Attempting to bypass usage limits or carrier rules.

Violations may result in suspension, termination, or additional fees to cover carrier penalties.

5. Updates

Usage allowances, overage rates, and compliance requirements may change due to carrier or regulatory updates. Eggs N’ Toast will update the usage charts and this Fair Usage Policy as needed. The latest version, published on this page, always governs your usage.
